Creative Arts for Social Inclusion Training
Preveza, October 22-25, 2024
The “Art for Inclusion - Art of Inclusion” Creative Arts for Social Inclusion Training, organized by Artifactory as part of the Erasmus+ program, was successfully completed in Preveza from October 22 to 25, 2024. The program organised by Artifactory brought together youth and trainers from Greece, Poland, Ukraine, Turkey, and Romania, focusing on the use of the arts as a powerful tool to enhance social cohesion and promote inclusion. Participants included students from the Music School of Preveza, the Stowarzyszenie Przyjaciol Gimnazjum w Proszowicach (Poland), the Incirliova Genclik Kultur Sanat ve Gelisim Dernegi (Turkey), and the Palatul Copiilor Constanta (Romania).
Over three days, participants attended workshops covering basic photography skills, digital storytelling, narrative art, and creating personal stories through storyboards. They also had the unique opportunity to visit the Music School of Preveza, where they sang Manos Loizos’ iconic song “The Accordion” together and danced, creating a touching moment of unity and joy. The participants were thrilled by the experience and developed meaningful connections with the Music School students, fostering a spirit of collaboration and cultural exchange. Following this, they visited the Archaeological Museum of Nicopolis and explored the archaeological site.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Preveza for their invaluable support, providing the Municipal Gallery’s space and technical equipment. Special thanks go to the Music School, its management, Deputy Principal Ms. Eleni Argyrou, and the teachers who embraced the initiative, inspiring students to create and actively participate.
We thank everyone who joined and supported this initiative to promote the values of collaboration and solidarity through art.
