“A Wild History for Grown-Up Children: From Fascism to Metafascism. Democracy Against the New Far Right”

As part of the European project Visible Past, Artifactory and Simoun Bookstore-Café are organizing an open discussion on the occasion of the publication of the book by educator and author Kostis Papaioannou, titled “A Wild History for Grown-Up Children: From Fascism to Metafascism. Democracy Against the New Far Right”, published by Polis Editions.

The author will be in conversation with Dafni Sfetsa, journalist and member of the initiative “Simeio for the Study and Confrontation of the Far Right.”

The event aims to shed light on the historical continuities and ruptures of the fascist phenomenon, the current threat of metafascism, and the questions posed to democracy and civil society.

In an era of normalized hatred and revisionism, the book and the discussion seek to contribute to a meaningful public dialogue centered on memory, knowledge, and responsibility.
