Transinterpret II, a transnational cooperation within the framework of C.I. Leader + was mainly aiming to promote rural heritage. It has established standards and recommendations concerning the quality of heritage presentation in recreational learning environments. Using tourism planning tools validated by praxis and data to present heritage to a variety of audiences, it simultaneously engages principles of human cognitive architecture, to improve practical applications in the field of heritage interpretation and produce visitor related information. The interpretive planning process follows standards and recommendations of a dynamically evolving database, constantly fed back by interpretive products and services, developed in the partner areas in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Greece, which are then provided with a quality label.
